It’s been a while since I have posted about a restaurant, so I wanted to share a local one I recently tried. Last month Hard Knox Pizzeria (the Hardin Valley location) hosted my blogger group, the East TN Boss Babes for a March Madness viewing party. I have to be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of basketball, but I love pizza and hanging out with my blogger babes so I couldn’t say no. They had appetizers, salads, pizza, and dessert for us. Everything was soooo delicious! The staff was so sweet and so was one of the owners we were able to meet as she was leaving. The chef also came out and talked to us about the food they were serving and how they make some of it.

For appetizers we had 5 cheese bread, Roni Rolls, and Meatballs. It’s hard to pick a favorite because they were all good, but if I did have to choose one it would be the Roni Rolls. It’s similar to the pepperoni rolls at Old Chicago, but better in my opinion. Next up they served 4 different salads, Greek, Rocket, Ceaser, and the Hard Knox. My favorite salad was the Rocket, it had fresh arugula, cherry tomatoes, and shaved parmesan with their house made lemon parmesan dressing. The pizza options were the Iron Mike, Bonecrusher, The Veggie, Do-It Pruitt, Marciano, and Marco Roni. They were all so good too but I really liked the Marciano which had fresh mozzarella, extra virgin olive oil, and basil. I hope my husband and I can go back because I think he would like the Bonecrusher that has fresh mozzarella, pepperoni, sweet Italian sausage, fresh rosemary, and crushed red pepper.

Last but not least, dessert. We actually had both desserts which were the Root Beer Float made with draft root beer and vanilla gelato and the Archie S’more Pie, made with nutella, mini marshmallows, and crushed graham crackers. I loved the float but the S’more Pie was amazing! I’m definitely getting another one when I go back.
