Makeup Favorites of 2021

Alicia BiceComment

I didn’t try many new products in 2021, but I still wanted to share my most use makeup items of the year. I will list out all the products and why I love them under each picture. I have decided this year I will be sharing monthly beauty favorites here on my blog, so be sure to subscribe to my newsletter so you don’t miss when a new post goes live. I only email y’all when I have a new blog post, not everyday, but enough about that, let’s see what I used most!

Tarte Foundcealer | This has been my favorite foundation for probably 2-3 years now. It is a light-medium buildable coverage, hydrating foundation. I love the dewy look it gives my skin and feels very lightweight. This has an SPF 20.

Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation | This is more of a light coverage foundation that has a beautiful glow. I’m sure y’all see the pattern here, I love dewy, glowy products. I wore this a lot over the summer, and I wear it on my more natural days as more of a tinted moisturizer. Has an SPF 15.

Loreal Skin Paradise Water Infused Tinted Moisturizer | This was another product I wore a lot over the summer. If you are on a budget this is a great option for a more natural look with a dewy finish. This also has an SPF 19.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter | So this one isn’t really a foundation, but you can use it all over as a base. It doesn’t have any coverage but makes your skin look so luminous and natural. You can use it alone, as a primer under your foundation, or as a liquid highlighter on top of your foundation. I just did a blog post sharing all the ways to use it that I will link here for y’all.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish Undereye Corrector | I guess I did try a few “new to me” products last year and a lot of Charlotte Tilbury products, but I have always heard great things about them. I actually heard about this undereye corrector from one of my favorite bloggers Emily Gemma. This helps with dark circles and goes underneath your concealer. It counteracts the darkness where concealer just covers it up, if that makes sense.

Tarte Shape Tape Ultra Creamy | This product actually was new last year…..I think, haha. Not going to lie the past couple of years have blended together. This shape tape is more hydrating and creamy than the original shape tape which is matte. The ultra creamy version is going to be better if you have dry skin or more mature skin.

Tarte Breezy Cream Bronzer | Shade: Seychelles | I used to not like cream products, or well I never really used them, but I started to some last year and I actually really like them. Especially this Tarte cream bronzer, because it is so creamy and blends out really well.

Gucci Bronzer | Shade: 03 | This product is definitely a splurge, but it is seriously so pretty, from the package to the actual product. If you don’t want to spend that much on a bronzer, you can always ask for it for a birthday gift, or Valentine’s Day is coming up ;).

MAC Extra Dimension Blush | Shades: Cheeky Bits & Sweets for my Sweets | These blushes are so pretty because they have a bit of shimmer, so it gives your cheeks a pretty glow. I picked these up last time I was at The Cosmetic Company Store, which is a discounted high end/luxury makeup store. The one I go to is in Target Outlets in Pigeon Forge, TN, but if you are close to one I highly recommend going!

Ofra Highlighter | Shade: Rodeo Drive | This is an older product but I just recently got it last year I believe. It is such a pretty gold color and I feel like one of their most popular highlighter shades. It is a little on the pricey side, but you get a lot of product.

Tarte Maneater Mascara | This is the only mascara on the list because it is my holy grail. I have tried several other mascaras, but I always come back to this one. It does not get clumpy, and really gets in there and separates my lashes.

Tarte Sketch & Set Brow Pencil | I really love this product because it has a skinny pencil on one side and tinted brow gel on the other side, two in one. You can use them together or separate.

Benefit Powmade Brow Pomade | This was a new product last year and I did a review/first impressions on it. I will link that video here if yall want to check it out. I kind of switch back and forth between brow products I use. I like a pomades more when I am doing a full face and more glam since it gives your brows a more dramatic filled in look. Lately I have been back to pencils though.

Benefit Microfilling Pen | This product I love whenever I do more natural brows. It makes my brows look microbladed and I love that look. Most brow pens will give you that look and I really love them. The only downside to this product is I feel like the product itself doesn’t last long. I wish I could get more uses out of it.

Maybelline Ultra Slim Defining Brow Pencil | This was my go-to brow pencil towards the end of the year and I have actually been using it quite a bit recently. The best part about it, it’s under $10. It also has a skinny pencil tip with a spoolie on the other side. I like the skinny tip because it’s easy to make hair-like strokes so your brows look more natural.

Maybelline Super Stay Ink Crayon | Shade: Lead the Way | I probably wore this lipstick the most and have been wearing into this year as well. It is such a pretty pink color and a great dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury pillowtalk lipstick. I have been pairing it with the KKW Beauty lipstick that I will share next.

KKW Beauty Lipstick | Shade: Nude 1 | This was available at Ulta but she quit selling it because I THINK they are coming out with something new. I did find some available on Amazon though, so I will link it for y’all. This is too nude for me to wear by itself, that’s why I like wearing on top of other lipsticks to make it more nude.

Haus Laboratories Le Monster Matte Lip Crayon | Shades: Dust & Influencer | This lipstick is part of Lady Gaga’s makeup line. I really like lipstick crayons because they are so easy to use. These are very smooth and not drying even though they are matte. I love these two colors by their self or together.

Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm | I love the shade rose, but I’m sure they are all pretty. It has just a hint of color so it looks very natural. It is so moisturizing and not sticky at all.

I know I am a little late getting this up, but better late than never, lol. I feel like I have been talking a lot about my YouTube channel, but I do have a video sharing all these products in video form that I will link below as well. I like to do a blog post and YouTube video for some subjects because it’s nice to see things up close in a video. I also feel like I can talk more about the product without being boring, like a blog post could be if I wrote too much, haha. Anyways, I hope yall enjoyed seeing my favorite makeup products of 2021! Let me know in the comments what makeup products you used the most last year!
