2022 Beauty Favorites

Alicia BiceComment

If you have been here for a while some of these products will look familiar. I think there are only a couple different products from previous years, but when it comes to makeup, if I love something and it works, I stick with it. I do love trying new products, but I didn’t really try many new things last year. I do want to try more new products this year though, so I can give yall more makeup reviews on my YouTube channel and here on my blog.

Tarte Tartlette in Bloom Palette

This palette has been a favorite for years and years. I still use it almost every time I do my makeup, so that is why I wanted to add it to my yearly favorites. I also use this palette on my brides and prom girls when I do makeup. It is such a good neutral palette and has a mix of matte shades and shimmer shades. It is perfect for all ages and all makeup levels. I still recommend this palette to anyone and everyone!

Tarte Maneater Mascara

I have been using this mascara for years as well and in my opinion nothing compares. I have tried a lot of different mascaras, high end and drugstore, and I still go back to Maneater every time. It now comes in waterproof and brown if you aren’t a fan of black mascara or want something a little more natural.

Tarte Maracujá Juicy Lip Balm

This lip balm is yet again another favorite that has been for a while. I also recommend this product to everyone. It is so hydrating with the maracuja oil in it, but it is not sticky at all. These also have just a hint of color, so they look beautiful and natural. The perfect product if you want to try a lip color but don’t want as much pigment as a lipstick. There are also several new maracuja juicy lip products, including lipstick, lip plumper, lip creme, and lip liner. All these products contain maracuja oil that is very hydrating but not sticky. Perfect for you if matte lip products are not your favorite.

Tarte Sketch & Set Brow Pencil | Shade: Medium Cool Brown

This brow pencil is a returning favorite. I used to use it all the time, but when I ran out I never replenished. I decided I wanted to restock it with my last Tarte order, so it has become a favorite yet again. I love it because it is two products in one. It has a skinny brow pencil on one side, and a tinted brow gel on the other. It is designed to be used together, but you can use them separate as well. It is made to outline your brows with the pencil end, then fill them in with the gel. Sometimes I will fill them in with the pencil and just use the gel in the front of my brows. There are many different ways to use it.

Maybelline Ultra Slim Brow Pencil | Shade: Deep Brown

I’m pretty sure I got this pencil at Walmart when I ran out of my Tarte pencil and I really liked it so I kept using it. It also has a skinny pencil with a spooly on the other side. If you want a brow product that is affordable and that you can grab while grocery shopping, definitely give this one a try. I probably use it the most.

NYX Brow Pen | Shade Ash Brown

There for a while I was on a brow pen kick and when I tried this one I loved it. As of right now I am back to using pencils, but I still love this product and it is another affordable option. It has a felt tip end so it helps to make hairlike strokes so you can get a more natural look. I think that is why I love it so much. Brow pens also help give that micro bladed look without having to get them microbladed.

Maybelline Super Stay Ink Crayon | Shade: Lead the Way

This lipstick was probably one of my most worn lipsticks of last year. I love that it is a crayon, so it makes it very easy to use. Lead the Way is such a pretty pink and a great dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk lipstick. I actually have a YouTube video and blog post sharing several other dupes for pillowtalk if yall want to check them out.

Jaclyn Cosmetics Loose Highlighter | Shade: Bomb

I had heard good things about the Jaclyn highlighters, but to be honest with yall I was a little hesitant to buy any of her beauty products because of her lipstick debacle. I understand things happen, but I didn’t like how she handled everything. It was very unprofessional in my opinion. Anyway, I decided to give them a try since they were on sale during one of Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty events, and I’m glad I finally caved because it’s one of my new favorite highlighters. The loose ones give you that wet look that I love. I have several shades now, but my favorite is Bomb because it is a gold shade.

Milani Baked Blush | Shade: Dellizioso Pink

I normally go with coral blushes and have loved corals for as long as I can remember, but this past year I really got into pink blushes. This Milani blush shade is little hard to find, but worth it if you can find it. I got mine from Amazon but it keeps going in and out of stock, so I found it at Walmart for yall. If you end up getting it just keep in mind it is VERY pigmented, so barely tap your brush in it.

Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush | Shade: The Climax

Charlotte Tilbury has definitely became one of my favorite makeup brands within the past year. Every product I have tried I have absolutely loved. I have wanted to try one of these cheek to chic blushes for years and finally decided to take the plunge. These are a little pricey, but in my option worth it. This is a powder blush and comes in several shades. I got mine at Nordstrom because I was in store, but I have linked it for yall on the Charlotte Tilbury website.

Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation | Shade: 5 Neutral

Speaking of Charlotte Tilbury, this was definitely a most used foundation for 2022 and already one of my most used for 2023. It is such a beautiful, dewy, lightweight foundation, which are all the attributes I look for in a foundation. Keep in mind everyones skin is different and everyone looks for different things in a foundation, so yall may not love it as much as me, but it’s perfect for me. It does have a sheer-light coverage so keep that in mind as well.

Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint | Shade: ST 11.5 Morgat

This is the foundation I wore more in the summer because it has an SPF 40, which I love. Sun protection is good year round, but especially in the summer when you are out in the direct sun. I have a sunscreen I use as part of my morning skincare, but just in case you forget it that day or want extra spf this is perfect. This foundation is good if you have dry skin because it has several ingredients that help with moisture, but I have combination skin that tends to be more oily, but I still love this. Dewy skin is my favorite though. It is another foundation that is sheer to light coverage and lightweight.

There you have it, my beauty favorites of 2022. I will link my YouTube video below if yall want to watch it next so yall can see each product. Let me know in the comments what your most used beauty product of 2022 was because I love hearing yalls favorites too. Also, let me know if there are any new makeup products for this year yall want to me try.
