Tarte Custom Kit

Alicia BiceComment

If you love Tarte Cosmetics definitely take advantage of this sale! You get 6 full size products along with a makeup bag for only $65! I know that is still a little pricey, but only two or three products would cost that much if you purchased individually. I’m pretty sure the sale ends today so there are a few things sold out, but there are still a lot of good products left! I will share my picks for a kit below. Click on the picture to shop or click here to go to the kit page. I will go ahead and link the products for after the sale, so be sure to click the collage for kit page link.

My Custom Kit

Lips: I picked the Maracuja Juicy Lip because it is my new favorite lip balm. It is so hydrating and not sticky. The colors are so pretty and give just a hint of color. My favorite is Rose and currently sold out, but you can’t go wrong with any color. I’ve been wanting to try Coconut, which is a nude color. They also have clear if you don’t like color.

Cheek: This was hard to pick but I went with my OG favorite, the Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush. The most popular color is Exposed which is a pinky-nude, but they are all so good! One of my favorites is Captivating which is a really pretty coral. I also love Sensual that is a shimmery nude. I love these blushes because the color lasts all day and doesn’t fade throughout the day like a lot of other powder blushes.

Eyes: This was another hard choice because the choices include eyeshadow palettes and brow products. I did end up picking the Sketch & Set Brow Pencil and Gel because it’s one of my favorite brow products. It has a skinny pencil on one side and a tinted brow gel on the other. It makes filling in your brows quick and easy. You outline your brows with the pencil and fill in with the gel. Other options for this category are two mini palettes I love, so if you need an easy palette or something for traveling those are perfect!

Complexion: If you have been following me for a while you know my favorite foundation is Founcealer, so that’s what I picked for complexion. Shape Tape foundation is another option, but that one is full coverage and matte, and I like the opposite for foundation. You can also pick two different hydrating concealer instead of a foundation.

Skincare & Tools: This category is pretty self explanatory lol. For tools they have a brush and sponge, along with eyelash curler. I went with Glotion which you can use by itself or as a glowy primer which is how I usually use it. They also have the frxxtion stick which is an exfoliator in a stick form so it’s very easy to use. I also really like the Knockout Tingling Treatment which is an acid toner that also helps exfoliate. It does tingle a little, but it’s supposed to. They have a travel size if you want to try it to make sure you can handle the tingle before committing to the full size.

Mascara: There are two options for mascara as of right now and that is Maneater and Lights, Camera, Lashes. My pick is ALWAYS Maneater. I have been using it for years, ever since it first came out. I have tried dupes for it, but in my opinion nothing compares. LCL is a good mascara too though. It volumes, curls, lengthens, and conditions. It’s one of Tarte’s most popular mascaras.

Kit Bag: I’m not sure how many bags were available to start with, but there are currently only three. I would pick the white one even though it would probably get dirty pretty easy. It does look like it would be easy to clean though. To be honest with yall, I have plenty of makeup bags so I would just pick any because it came with the deal.

So those are all my picks for the Tarte build your custom kit. I love when they do this because you really can customize it to fit your routine. Those of you who don’t fill in your brows can pick an eyeshadow, if you need skincare you can pick that, if you are out of a favorite you can restock, or if you have been wanting to try something new you can do that too! If you have any questions about a product you can always leave them in the comments!
