Hello 2022

Alicia BiceComment

I know New Years is just another day, but it’s just something about the start of a new year that makes me feel inspired. Does anyone else feel that way? I don’t necessarily believe in the whole “new year, new me” bit, but I do feel like it is a fresh start to a new year and new possibilities. I have to admit, I will be on top of my goals and will feel so inspired for a few months, but then I lose my momentum and tend to start slacking again. If yall have any tips for staying on track with your New Years goals let me know in the comments! My best friend and I are going to be blogging accountability partners this year, so I am hoping that will help me.

I want to share some of my goals for 2022 with yall, but I want to recap 2021 first. It was actually a pretty good year for me. In March I turned the big 3-0, which isn’t really a big deal to me, but I guess it is a milestone birthday so I wanted to mention it lol. In June I finally hit 1,000 subscribers on my YouTube channel and then in August I hit my watch hours and I was able to monetize my channel. If you aren’t sure what that means, I can now make money with my YouTube channel. Also in August, my awesome husband took me to Mystic Falls (aka Covington, GA) to do The Vampire Diaries tour! If you are new here, I am obsessed with TVD and I had been wanting to do the tour for a couple years. I have actually done the tour twice now and been to Covington 3 times, haha. I have a blog post all about the tour that I will link here for yall if you are wanting to plan a trip. If you are a TVD fan, I highly recommend it!

Those are pretty much the highlights of 2021, but The Vampire Diaries tour was a bucket list item, and monetizing my YouTube channel was my number one goal for 2021. I will link last years goal blog post here if yall want to check that one out too. I just reread it and I have said pretty much the same things and have a lot of the same goals lol.

Yall may think my goals are pretty boring because they all have to do with posting content. I want to post one blog post a week, one newsletter a week, at least one YouTube video a week, one YouTube vlog a month, and just things like that. Those were all goals last year that I did not complete (insert face palm emoji). I did really well with my YouTube channel because that was my main priority and still is this year, but slacked on everything else. Now that I kinda have the hang of YouTube, I would really like to focus more on my blog and newsletter this year. Those two things I can control and I own, and the way instagram has been lately it is so uncertain and I want to be able to reach yall and share things I want to share. So be sure to subscribe to my newsletter if you aren’t already! I don’t spam yall at all, mostly just once a week if that, haha.

My main goal for 2022 is probably to get my first paid collaboration on any platform, but I would love for it to be for YouTube since I want to be a full time youtuber. My big goal (kinda far fetched goal) is to get 10,000 subscribers on my YouTube channel. So if you aren’t subscribed I would love for you to ;), I’ll link my channel here for yall.

I haven’t made any fitness goals in the last couple of years because honestly I workout off and on throughout the years. I would like to workout regularly again and eat better, but I don’t stress out if I don’t. I also want to travel more this year. I think that might happen because my husband wants to go out west to hunt and I want to go just to see things lol.

I would love to hear some of yalls goals for the year so comment them below! Also, do yall do a word of the year? Whenever I read last years goals I noticed I never picked my word for last year and I haven’t this year, so I’m not sure if I will or not unless something just hits me. I did read a quote from that post that I actually just wrote down on my white board so I see it everyday, “Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally, it comes from what you do consistently.” -Marie Forleo Consistency is something I have been struggling with for a few years, so maybe 2022 will be my year. I really do have a good feeling about this year, so who knows what will happen! I will add some of my favorite pictures of the year below!
