I didn't think this day would ever come, haha. We have been together for 8 years and we have talked about getting married but never acted on it. One day we were talking and picked a date, announced that we were getting married, and the planning began. Yep, before I even got a ring. The one I wanted was online and they custom make them, so we knew it would take a while to get back. Whenever my ring finally came in he officially proposed. I actually vlogged the weekend and you can watch that video here.

The theme I picked for the wedding was Alice in Wonderland. It is not my favorite book or movie, I just thought it would be cute and different. I do love the Tim Burton version though. That theme ended up fitting our wedding perfectly, since we did everything backwards with the engagement/planning process. We actually had to change the location of the wedding two days before it, because it had rained almost everyday the week of the wedding. The original place was outside and I didn't have a backup plan, yes I know the biggest wedding no-no ever, so we had to come up with a plan B. I was pretty upset at first having to change the location, but the day before the wedding I realized that it didn't matter where we got married, I was still marrying my best friend and the love of my life, so that's all that mattered.

It ended up being beautiful and it turned out great. His family did an amazing job decorating and we could not have done it without them, my bridesmaids, or the groomsmen. My HUSBAND :) and his groomsmen actually made those doors pictured above the night before/morning of the wedding. He also made the arbor. We plan on using the doors as our headboard for our bed, and eventually turning the arbor into a swing. I love that we will be able to keep and use those pieces to always remember our special day! For our guestbook we decided to use a map of where we went for our honeymoon and I have plans on framing it.  Don't worry, I will do a post all about our honeymoon next week!

I surprised the girls the morning of the wedding with the robes we are wearing. They are so soft and comfortable and I got on Etsy from a shop called The Fancy Pigeon. You can see her shop here. Did you notice what palette I was using in the first picture? It is the tartelette in bloom palette by Tarte which is my favorite! I actually had to do my makeup while I was getting my hair done because I was running short on time. I did my bridesmaids makeup too, and that could have something to do with my timing. Everybody thought I was crazy to do theirs, but it actually calmed me and I didn't mind at all because makeup is my passion. I am shocked at how calm I was the whole day, and I think everybody else was shocked too. I did get pretty nervous when I was about to walk down the aisle, but then once I saw him up there it all went away.

It was such an amazing day and I am glad y'all are finally getting to see some pictures. I was planning on posting this a few days ago, but I was having trouble with wordpress and it wouldn't let me post for some reason. It also wouldn't  save my draft, so I had to completely redo this post. Since my posting days are off, I am going to try and have another post tomorrow with my top 5 favorite wedding pictures! Also, be sure to keep an eye out next week for 2 honeymoon posts! I have some very interesting stories to tell!
